SCALE ASSISTANTS X2

A Scrap Metal company in the Southern Suburbs is in search of two Scale Assistants. We are looking for motivated, hard-working & energetic individuals to join the operations team.

Responsibilities will include, but is not limited to:

- Assisting the Scale Buyer in ensuring quality control and grading of goods purchased is accurate

- Provide excellent customer service

- Ensure scrap bought is removed from the buying area and correctly sorted for despatch

- Ensure that customers keep away from the scale and do not enter the stock holding

- Assist with tasks in other areas as per operational requirements

Applicants must have the following qualifying criteria:

- Literacy and numeracy skills

- Ability to communicate in English and Afrikaans

- Excellent knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals

- Ability to work quickly & well under pressure
