VACANCY:

PAYMENTS CLERK (TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT)

Large scrap metal processing and trading company requires the services of an experienced, attention to detail and well- organised individual to perform the Payments Clerk function. This position requires a dynamic, flexible personality, who is able to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines

QUALIFYING CRITERIA

-         Matric with the relevant tertiary qualification

-         Advanced computer literacy - MS Office (high proficiency in Excel)

-         Knowledge of ACCPAC

-         Minimum 3 - 5 Years Experience

-         Must have Credit and Criminal clearance

-         Good communication and negotiation skills

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

 

-         Prepare all Cash on Delivery for Payment

-         Ensure that the correct documents are attached

-         Ensure that coding is correct

-         Check and verify banking details

-         Process all payments and TRF's daily

-         Follow up on all outstanding PO's not received

-         Ensure all PO's received and signed and a POD/Delivery note is attached

-         Follow up on invoices

-         Receipt PO's and invoice in PO module

-         Follow up on credit notes

-         Assist Creditors Reconciler when needed

Standard hours

08:00 - 17:00 Monday - Thursday

08:00 - 16:00 Friday

May be required to work overtime as per operational requirements

Salary

Negotiable depending on qualifications and experience
