VACANCY:
GRAB OPERATOR & FORKLIFT OPERATOR POSITIONS
A Scrap metal company in the Southern Suburbs is in search of a Grab Operator and a Forklift Operator We are looking for motivated, hard-working & willing individuals to join the operations team.
Responsibilities will include, but is not limited to:
- Loading and off-loading company and customer vehicle
- Assisting with quality control of scrap purchased
- Watching for fraudulent acts e.g. sand or water in scrap being off loaded
- Maintain good customer relations and ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintaining a clean and controlled yard
- Sorting of stock purchased to ensure that correct quality is despatched
- Ensure Health & Safety regulations are adhered to
- Assist the Yard Supervisor to lead and supervise yard staff
Applicants must have the following qualifying criteria:
- Basic mechanical back-ground will be advantageous
- Previous operator experience will be a plus
- Hand-eye coordination
- Hardworking individual
- Must be dedicated and willing to learn
- Be in good health
- Work scheduled & unscheduled overtime when required
* Individuals with potential but no previous operator experience are welcome to apply as training will be provided.
