VACANCY:
BUYING REPRESENTATIVE
Scrap Metal Company based in Epping is searching for a vibrant, energetic, hard-working, results-driven, honest & reliable individual to join the Commercial Buying Department. The candidate will be required to service areas in the Western Cape and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities will include, but is not limited to:
- Promote and present company image to new and existing customers
- Quoting existing and potential clients
- Maintain and update customer data base
- Increase existing customer base
- Ensure customer is aware of correct grading of material
- Negotiate prices within certain guidelines and agree on the correct quality
- Meet targets and achieve set goals
- Maintain excellent customer service
- Identify and resolve customer concerns
- Coordinate company staff and transport for collections
- Prepare and update status reports
- Communicate with Superior
Applicants must have the following qualifying criteria:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- 5 years work experience in the similar position
- Excellent knowledge of Ferrous and Non-ferrous (Training is offered)
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent with strong numerical and literacy skills
- Must be computer literate in Word, Excel and Microsoft office
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team
- Must take initiative and ownership for their work
- Own transport is essential (a vehicle allowance will be provided)
- Unendorsed Code 8 driver's license a must
- Must have an engaging yet strong personality
